10-OH-HHC in France: how to read the available ANSM sources

What ANSM said on 16 October 2024
In a response to a user request, an ANSM service stated that substitution at position 10 on the HHC benzochromene nucleus was not covered by the recent classification decision and that the molecule described in the request was therefore not covered by that specific narcotics-listing decision. The published copy of the response is dated 16 October 2024.
What that response does not establish
- It does not say that 10-OH-HHC is lawful in every context.
- It does not authorize a food, medicine, consumer product or cross-border sale.
- It does not establish the position after October 2024.
- It does not replace the current text of French law or a decision from a competent authority or court.
The related public ANSM notice
The linked ANSM public notice describes cannabinoids added to the narcotics list from 3 June 2024. The notice names several substances and chemical families but does not name 10-OH-HHC in its public page text. That absence alone is not proof of a current general legal status.
